Groove to Summer Anthems at 100 Wardour Street – 4th August
Step into summer at London’s leading drinking, dining and dancing destination, 100 Wardour Street, where Summer Anthems takes place every Thursday evening, promising guests the ultimate party with delicious food and free-flowing wine. On 4th August, dance music superstar Kelli Leigh will take to the stage, performing hits such as the Grammy nominated ‘I Got U’ by Duke Dumont and Jax Jones, followed by dance legend Alex Mills on 1st September. Once the live music ends, the party doesn’t stop as DJs will take guests into the early hours spinning classic dance anthems from past and present.

The Social History of English Afternoon Tea at 116 Pall Mall – 14th August
Celebrate the finale of afternoon tea week at the prestigious 116 Pall Mall as the venue hosts a special talk, The Social History of English Afternoon Tea, led by writer Gillian Walnes Perry, MBE. Taking place on Sunday 14th August from 1:30pm, enjoy a mouth-watering talk through history of this quintessentially British pastime, followed by a decadent afternoon tea featuring sweet and savoury delicacies, plus an optional glass of Searcys Cuvée Brut for extra indulgence.

A welcome escape from the bustle of the city, the spacious GNH Bar & Terrace in the heart of King’s Cross is complete with luscious foliage, plant-filled terrariums, bright blooms and limited-edition cocktails created with The Botanist Gin. Acclaimed chef Vivek Singh has announced a brand-new High Chai menu at Cinnamon Kitchen City, which can be enjoyed al fresco on the all-weather, covered terrace on Devonshire Square. Bringing fire and spice to the traditional tea-time spread, the new menu, available 3pm-5pm Friday to Sunday, is inspired by Vivek’s roots in West Bengal, as well as his love of modern culinary techniques and British ingredients. Think samosa and watermelon chaat, kadhai chicken puffs and delicately spiced shrikhand cheesecake.

Make the most of the glorious weather by venturing to Cinnamon Kitchen City’s beautiful al-fresco terrace, where Vivek Singh has designed a nine-course sharing feast celebrating the noble barbecue! Priced at £29 per person and perfect for groups of two or more, the feast includes delicious dishes of grilled pink aubergine with mint labneh, char-grilled sea bass in a lentil and coconut sauce as well as Cinnamon’s famous dish of Welsh lamb Roganjosh, served with black lentils and pilau rice. Executive Chef Vivek Singh has always looked to the seasons as a rich source of inspiration when cooking and curating menus, so this August, The Cinnamon Club will be serving a special Summer Festival Menu that brings together a selection of his favourite summer dishes from the past 21 years. Available from 1stAugust – 3rd September, expect decadent dishes of jackfruit and lotus root kebab with poppy seed; grilled New Caledonian Obsiblue king prawns in an alleppey curry sauce; and the showstopping clove smoked saddle of Romney Marsh lamb with corn and yoghurt sauce.
