Hattingley Valley Launches Two New Wines
10 Jan 2023
Hattingley Valley, the family-owned, award-winning Hampshire winery, has announced the launch of two new English sparkling wines. Available to purchase from 1st February 2023, the limited release King’s Cuvée 2015 and the brand’s first King’s Rosé 2015, will join Hattingley Valley’s current range of boutique sparkling wines
King’s Cuvée 2015 (RRP £85)
A very limited release, the King’s Cuvée is golden in colour, showcasing a blend of premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The wine offers vibrant aromas of citrus and zest, layered with honey and nuts and integrated with flavours of brioche, vanilla and creamy oak.
The King’s Cuvée is deep and rich with a refreshing palate of crisp acidity and a long, complex finish. The wine is 100% barrel fermented and aged for seven months in oak barrels, before being placed on lees to mature for six years, to create a soft, creamy and spicy wine. After rigorous taste tests, this release is made up of only the top six barrels of wine, which were selected out of approximately 200.
King’s Rosé 2015 (RRP £95)
Hattingley Valley’s first King’s Rosé is a premium pale pink mix of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. This delicate sparkling wine provides aromas of brioche, raspberry and soft, gentle flavours of red cane fruit. The wine has an underlying crisp acidity and persistent flavours of red apple and strawberries.
Much like the King’s Cuvée, the King’s Rosé is 100% barrel fermented and aged for seven months in oak barrels for a softer, creamier wine.
The King’s Cuvée and King’s Rosé will be available to purchase from 1st February 2023 at www.hattingleyvalley.com,.
