Hattingley Valley Launches Two New Wines: Entice Dessert & Still Rosé 2022
04 Apr 2023
Following a fruitfully long and warm growing season, award-winning Hampshire winery Hattingley Valley has announced two new releases – the 2022 STILL Rosé and new release dessert wine, Entice.
A perfectly pale wine from the 2022 vintage, the 2022 STILL Rosé (RRP £19) is made from a handpicked blend of Pinot Noir Précoce and Pinot Noir grapes which are slowly whole-bunch pressed after a short maceration, then fermented in stainless steel tanks before bottling. The resulting wine is vibrant, elegant and refreshing, with deep fruity flavours of sweet cherries and raspberries on the palate, and notes of grapefruit, pomegranate, fresh strawberries and blossom on the nose.
The very limited release Entice (RRP £25) is made from 100% Bacchus grapes that have been frozen and pressed, prior to undergoing a cool fermentation process in stainless steel tanks to create a juice with naturally high sugar content, in Hattingley’s own unique take on an ice-wine style of production. The result is a pale lemon-gold liquid with a honeyed character and a creamy mouthfeel with notes of lemon and elderflower on the palate and aromas of tropical fruits and blossom.
Both wines are available to purchase at www.hattingleyvalley.com from 6thApril.
