British pub group Young’s is proud to announce the long-anticipated arrival of Enderby House in Greenwich, set to open its doors on Monday 12th April with the launch of its riverside terraces. A piece of maritime history, the Grade II listed pub has been a focal point of the Greenwich riverbank for over 185 years, and has been sympathetically renovated to house a welcoming, local pub that champions the building’s heritage with original design features.
Set across three floors, Enderby House boasts a welcoming pub, two dining rooms, and a variety of bookable private rooms, each with its own unique design and character, as well as two riverside terraces. With stunning views along the Thames path, the new ground and first floor terraces offer the ideal spot for alfresco dining for friends and family, with a range of seating and benches to sit back and soak up the pub atmosphere.
The ground floor pub and dining room with its sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows and statement oak bar is a light and airy space for casual dining, brunch and drinks. Menus will focus on classic pub dishes done well and seafood plates, as well as crowd-pleasing vegan choices, all characterised by the use of impeccably sourced seasonal British ingredients.
At the bar, Enderby House will keep things local with craft and draught beers from local breweries including Gipsy Hill and Meantime. A strong wine list and contemporary cocktails will also be on offer, alongside an extensive selection of spirits, including Plymouth Gin.
On the first floor is the elegant, maritime-themed Octagon, with its references to the pioneer Samuel Enderby and fascinating maps of historic trading routes, offers spectacular views of life on the river. The elevated menu puts the spotlight on seafood and fresh fish from British coastlines with British meat and vegan dishes also available. Signatures on the regularly changing Chef’s Menu might include cured Winterbourne trout and crab terrine; and fritto misto of Norfolk asparagus, purple broccoli, scallions, and wild garlic aioli; and native grilled lobster with wild garlic and samphire.
And, for when we can finally get together with friends and families, two private rooms are perfect for intimate dinners and drinks parties for between six and 12 guests.
Located on Telegraph Avenue in Greenwich, Young’s Enderby House is set to open its doors on Monday 12th April 2021 with the launch of the outdoor terraces, with full opening from Monday 17thMay, serving food and drink throughout the week from 9am-midnight.
