Perched on the water’s edge and boasting one of the largest outdoor spaces in the capital, The Waterway will be adding a touch of theatre and firing up its outdoor grill and rotisserie to serve changing BBQ specials. Expect honey-glazed shredded suckling pig, served with mustard mash alongside a sweet pork and honey jus (£18.50); and fresh, braised Spanish octopus served with a Greek-style summer salad (from £10.95).
Further barbecued delights rotating throughout the summer months, include; freshly-caught seared tuna fillet (£19); tender English lamb steak (£19); and French-cut veal rib chop (£22). Signature Waterway favourites will also be available to enjoy outside, including sticky BBQ ribs (£16.50), seasoned Atlantic prawns (£14.50) and a crispy Szechuan duck salad served with apple, cucumber and shallots.
Dining al-fresco is only complete with a drink in hand, so be sure to unwind and take in the spectacular views with a refreshing craft beer, or sample The Waterway’s signature summer serves; such as Basil Smash (£10) – Hendrick’s Gin combined with lemon juice, Thai basil leaves and raspberry; and Carnival (£9), a refreshing combination of Aperol and egg white shaken with fresh orange juice, a splash of lime and rose syrup, garnished with beautiful fresh flowers.
