At the House of Song’s Studio 88 in Soho and The Piano Works in Farringdon, classic cocktails get a plant-based makeover using ingredients like matcha, beetroot and coconut. With cocktails priced at only £10.50 throughout January and with both venues offeringnon-stop audience requested live music every night, it’s the perfect mix to banish those January blues. Bottoms up!
One cocktail that puts a truly healthy spin on retoxing is the Matcha Martini, vibrant in colour and packed with antioxidants, it’s a delicious blend of matcha tea, Bombay Sapphire gin, lime juice, chickpea water and fresh basil garnish. Or, add some sparkle to the month of misery with Golden Beat, a rich red cocktail made with Bacardi Carta Oro, beetroot juice, lemon juice, beetroot leaf and golden glitter garnish.
There’s also a vegan version of the perennially popular Espresso Martini – the Coco Espresso Martini, made with Belvedere vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, coconut milk, coconut purée and dark chocolate flakes. Completing the list is a Fig and Berry Sour– a heady mix of Bombay Sapphire gin, angostura bitters, lemon juice, chickpea water, fresh fig and raspberries for a fruity twist on a classic.
