ANTICO ADDS BOOZY CAMPARI GELATO TO ITS DESSERTS
Just in time for the summer sun, Italian restaurant and bar Antico has added the sweetest thing to its desserts: homemade Campari gelato.
But there’s a tongue-in-cheek catch: as a secret off-menu item, diners will have to prove just how much they want it by whispering a secret phrase to a waiter: ‘have you got cold balls?’ Only the brave need apply! Come September, it’ll go on the menu for all – but that’s our little secret.
Perfect for the lazy, hazy days that lie ahead, the cool and creamy concoction is made from the famous red Italian aperitif and is the brainchild of owner Nick Crispini and head chef Nicholas Schizas. Served in a frozen martini glass and accompanied by sugared lime wedges, it’s a potent way to chill out as temperatures soar.
