VIVEK OPENS CINNAMON SOHO OFF CARNABY STREET

The Cinnamon Club opened in Westminster to much foodie fanfare in 2001; Cinnamon Kitchen followed in 2009 and caused a similar stir in the City; and 2012 welcomes Cinnamon Soho, the third restaurant from executive chef Vivek Singh.

This latest venture is the chef;s first foray into the West End and is just a stone’s throw from the cobbles of Carnaby Street, sealing Soho’s growing reputation as London’s favoured foodie hotspot. This time round, Vivek loosens his tie for something altogether more casual; eschewing fine-dining in favour of comfort food classics and sharing plates, there’s a distinctly British thread running throughout the Cinnamon Soho menu.

Injecting new life into a pub that has stood at 58 St Martin’s Lane since 1727, Tom and Ed Martin are setting their own date in history as they make their West-End debut in the heart of theatreland with The Angel & Crown.

The Martin brothers, responsible for the award-winning Gun, The Cadogan Arms and The White Swan (amongst others), have lovingly restored this small but perfectly formed 18th century boozer into a charming and genuine gastropub, in the truest sense, worthy of taking centre stage.
