Escape the concrete jungle of the city to the White Forest with Savage Garden’s stunning, sky-high Narnia Terrace. Opening on 10th November, in collaboration withAbsolut Elyx Vodka, find yourself travelling 12 storeys up, via the express ‘wardrobe’, to a magical world with enchanting views.
Savage Garden’s expansive all-weather covered Wildside terrace has been transformed for winter – take a stroll through the silver birch and willow trees of the ‘White Forest’ complete with the novel’s iconic lamp post. An abundance of twinkling fairy lights and copper lanterns illuminate hand-written luggage tags featuring well known quotes from C.S. Lewis’s most treasured story and, for the ultimate selfie spot, take a seat on the White Witch’s throne – it doesn’t get much more Instagrammable than that!
Libations are Narnia-esque with limited edition cocktails, all made with Absolut Elyx. Choices include a Magical Martini made with fig liqueur, ‘miracle foam’ and sprinkled with raspberry dust; Absolutely Aslan with Antica Formula, Amaro Angostura, sherry, cinnamon syrup and chilli bitters; and The Long Winter with pineapple liqueur, orgeat syrup, pineapple juice, ginger and vanilla bitters. Keep toasty with Tumnus’s Tea – a hot toddy of Absolut Elyx, poppy tea, saffron, condensed milk and star anise.
For those looking for a truly magical party, the Narnia Terrace can be booked exclusively for up to 120 guests with packages from £75 per head that include a welcome cocktail, canapés, bowl food, a late night snack and DJ.
Over on Savage Garden’s second terrace, find London’s latest rooftop igloo. Fully furnished Narnia-style with faux fur rugs and cosy blankets, and with spectacular views of London and some of its most iconic landmark buildings, it’s a truly magical spot for a festive gathering.
Packages, starting from just £35pp, include a Tumnus’s Tea hot toddy, a sharing platter and bar nibbles. Alternatively, book the igloo for six to eight guests, with a minimum spend of £25pp, and take your pick of cocktails and bar bites from Savage Garden’s eclectic menu with dishes such as citrus buttermilk chicken sliders, pork tomahawk with black pudding fries, and charred octopus with fennel, orange chermoula and toasted kasha. To book now, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7709 1044.
Head inside for 360° views of the sparkling city below. The main bar will be decorated with vintage editions of The Chronicles of Narnia, and Savage Garden will be serving up its usual mix of innovative and creative cocktails, including the Evil Eye, a crystal green tonic mixed with Herradura tequila, Martini Ambrato vermouth, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, Jägermeister, and green ‘rock’ ice.
Winter will pass so get to Narnia at Savage Garden while you can.
