Things are hotting up in the city as London’s highest green oasis – Sky Garden – re-opens its bar, Sky Pod, with an unmissable line-up of DJ nights alongside its beautiful restaurant Darwin Brasserie, serving the best views in town and delicious British dishes.
One of the few places to re-open with DJs spinning the decks in the city, thanks to the generous space to allow for lounge sounds and social distancing, Sky Pod Bar is proud to support the music industry with Summer Sound Sessions kicking off on 17th July, every Friday (from 6pm) and Saturday night (from 9pm) until midnight throughout the summer.
Tickets start from £11 and include a ‘cocktail of the day’, so watch dusk turn to dark with a drink in hand and soak up London’s skyline. For the ultimate lounge vibes and all your post-lockdown plans wrapped up, book a table in Sky Pod – perfect for reunion drinks with friends and colleagues, special occasions and celebrations with your ‘bubble’.
For dining with show-stopping views, a memorable catch-up with friends or business meeting, Darwin Brasserie on level 36, will re-open on 22nd July for lunch and dinner, Wednesday to Sundays. Enjoy deliciously different British brasserie food from a new summer menu, as you soak up the idyllic garden surroundings and breath-taking vistas across the Thames.
Choose from London cured smoked salmon with citrus crème fraîche and melba toast; or Cheltenham beetroot with blackberry dressing and pistachio purée to start; and mains of roasted sea bream with tenderstem broccoli, chilli and anchovy dressing, and black olive crumb; or corn-fed confit chicken leg with grilled baby gem and peas à la Française. A selection of tempting sides and desserts, alongside delicious cocktails and wine from the cellar, will complete your visit and be sure to lure you back for Breakfast – re-launching on 1st August.
Sky Pod Bar and Darwin Brasserie continue to follow government guidelines closely and have implemented the highest levels of hygiene standards in all public areas and in the restaurant kitchen. Strict health and safety measures are in place for both staff and visitors to Sky Garden, with guests each required to provide contact details for track and trace upon arrival – so please leave plenty of time ahead of your booking.
