rhubarb – the premium hospitality group behind Sky Garden and Hudson Yards, New York – will launch all-day dining destination VIVI at the iconic Centre Point in London’s West End this July. VIVI will be the flagship restaurant of Centre Point’s much anticipated revival this summer.
The space will comprise four unique dining and drinking zones. VIVI Bar will celebrate old school bartending with classic and creative cocktails perfectly paired to the VIVI bites menu, while VIVI Dining will serve a nostalgic all-day British menu of modernised classics. For fresh juices, smoothies, power shakes and superfood shots, head to VIVI Liquid Lounge; while VIVI Gallery – complete with views over New Oxford Street – will be the perfect pit stop for light bites or leisurely afternoon teas.
The vibrant interiors will take their inspiration from ‘60’s Swinging London’– the decade in which the iconic Centre Point was built. Celebrating the playfulness, music and youth culture of the time, the decor will include optical art, dog-tooth patterning and a glamourous elliptical bar. Suspended over the dining area, a central bespoke chandelier handmade by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt. This talented designer creates exclusive one-off lamps in plexiglass and brass, reminiscent of 1960s Italian design, French Art Nouveau and German Bauhaus modernism. This is Vibeke’s first public commission in London.
VIVI at Centre Point will offer an all-day menu of nostalgic, delicious, British dishes modernised for today. The all-day menu will run from breakfast to brunch, lunch to afternoon tea and dinner to bar bites. Highlights from the menus include; Keen’s twice baked cheddar soufflé; Cauliflower cheese croquettes, Lea & Perrins; Chicken Kiev, fries, vinegar “salt & shake”; VIVI artic roll, raspberry & lemon; Jelly & custard, strawberry, vanilla custard, Victoria Sponge.
At the bar, classical cocktails such as signature Gimlets and Negronis will be served alongside comforting bar bites.
For all-day dining at this summer’s hottest new opening, it’s got to be VIVI at Centre Point – coming soon to London’s West End.
