Counting down to Theresa May’s snap general election, spend one of the most exciting evenings of the 2017 political calendar at London’s top Indian restaurant The Cinnamon Club, affectionately known as “The Westminster Canteen,” for an all-night offering of modern Indian food and drink including exclusive ‘Cabinet Cocktails.’ Predict the election outcome for your chance to win a special prize!
Carry-over from evening to morning on election results night, Thursday 8th June, at The Cinnamon Club – located within the shadows of the Houses of Parliament in the Old Westminster Library – while you follow every ballot box being opened and each constituency counted on the big screens whilst enjoying a feast of Executive Chef Vivek Singh’s signature style of modern Indian cuisine.
Come for dinner between 6:00pm and 10:45pm, stay for the results and leave as the sun rises. Debate the election results over a hot breakfast served from 5am onwards.
Fuel up on an election feast from the à la carte menu: first choose between appetisers of fenugreek scented tandoori cod, curry leaf and lime crumble or tandoori octopus with chutney aloo, fennel salad and tomato lemongrass dressing. Elect a main such as the Norfolk free range chicken breast in Hyderabadi korma sauce with a garlic naan crumble, as well as roast saddle of Romney Marsh lamb, saffron and pickled root vegetables. Complete your meal with a dessert of either Alphonso mango kulfi in a chilli mango soup or a slice of honey lime cheesecake.
‘Cabinet Cocktails’ in the Library Bar
After dinner, head to the Library Bar where you can relax like a pack of backbenchers and watch the excitement unfold. Soothing the tension will be bar snacks and well-elected cocktails including three specialty ‘Cabinet Cocktails,’ perfectly themed to sip on and settle the nerves as the night unfold. Unwind with a Remoaner’s Ruin, a heady mix of Belvedere vodka, Bombay Sapphire, Hope for the Future, a light drink made with spiced rum, almond syrup, coriander, lime topped up with Ginger Beer or toast with an “Order! Order!” made with gin, fig liqueur, Aperol and orange bitters. Cross the floor for a selection of bar snacks including naan breads filled with tandoori chicken breast, and Montgomery’s cheddar or devilled lamb mince as well as nibbles such as chicken legs stir-fired with garlic, red chilli, red onion and soy.
Predict the Result for Your Chance to Win!
If the thrill of a new government isn’t enough excitement for one evening, guests will also be encouraged to cast their vote speculating which party will emerge victorious for a chance to win a tasting menu for two guests along with paired wines at The Cinnamon Club, plus a copy of Vivek Singh’s latest cookbook Vivek Singh’s Festival Feasts.
Guests can solely book in for dinner, drop by for breakfast or arrive only to kick back in the bar to follow the live results. Whether you’re staying for one act or sticking with the manifesto through the night, give The Cinnamon Club your vote: this is one election promise that won’t be broken!
