DINNER WITH MAGIC AND MIND READING
Enter a world of smoke and mirrors at Down Hall on Saturday 21st March for an evening with award-winning magician and mind-reader, Edward Crawford. Dine on a delicious three-course meal inspired by the history of magic as you take part in psychological trickery and terrific telekinesis.
Priced at £45 per person, dig into a starter of ‘Rabbit in the Hat!’ – homemade rabbit terrine served with chervil, pickled mushroom and rye bread. Follow with a showstopping main, ‘The Appearing Bird!’, tender roast chicken on a bed of creamy potato terrine, wild mushroom and truffle. Complete the meal with a sweet surprise…’The Illusion’, a decadent chocolate brownie, drizzled in white chocolate and fresh strawberries, all included with half a bottle of wine. To continue the magic into the early hours, Down Hall also offers an overnight stay with breakfast included for £220 based on two people sharing.
Claim your rightful spot as the favourite child by treating your mum to the ultimate Mother’s Day experience. Situated within 110 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands, there’s a choice of two packages, both including a surprise gift for your leading lady.
Indulge in a leisurely three course Sunday lunch in the AA Rosette-awarded Grill Room (£40 per person.) Or, enjoy a quintessentially British afternoon tea, set in the splendour of Down Hall’s opulent lounge. From £30 per person, sit back and enjoy a glass of bubbly alongside delicate finger sandwiches, brie and caremelised red onion tarts, warm buttermilk scones topped with clotted cream and jam and petit fours.
Bring all the family together at Down Hall for an egg-straveganza of a day! Kicking off with a complimentary Easter Egg hunt for your little explorers – let them discover the magnificent grounds of the hotel and collect the mysterious Easter Bunny’s clues whilst you catch up with family and friends over a glass of wine and a delicious meal. For £40 per person, dine on orange and carraway cured salmon, served with carrot escabeche in a lovage emulsion; Guinea fowl with buttered fondant, spring cabbage and madeira cream and a traditional dessert of hot cross bun bread and butter pudding.
