Dreams of a Mexican getaway been scuppered? No es problema – just head to Stratford instead! Home to East London’s largest al fresco terrace, Print House Bar & Kitchen is Stratford’s best kept secret. Now the cat’s out of the bag as they have collaborated with the coolest name in mezcal to create a summer pop-up well worth travelling for – introducing Print House x Mezcal Verde.
Open Friday and Saturday 7-11pm across the summer, be transported to Oaxaca with live music and a specialist Mezcal menu that’s full of flavour. Accomplished mixologist, Enrico Gonzato, has expertly crafted six cocktails showcasing the Mezcal Verde range and versatility, including the Fire & Brimstone – a fiery blend of Mezcal Verde, Cointreau, lime, agave, jalapeño and fresh coriander; and the refreshing Clover Club made with Mezcal Verde, St Germain, lime, dry vermouth, soda and fresh raspberries.
Pair smoky and vibrant cocktails with the ultimate Mexican street food – a choice of tacos come in bold combinations, think fish in smoked paprika panko crumbs with ponzu coleslaw, old bay seasoning and coriander; and plant-based heart of palm with spicy mayo and black sesame seeds.
Changing the Mezcal game in more ways than one, Mezcal Verde is a quality spirit with a cool and conscious ethos. Traditionally crafted using organically grown 8-year-old agave Éspadín, each limited-edition bottle for sale at Print House has been custom designed exclusively for the bar, spotlighting four East London artists to celebrate #nolabels – an empowerment of inclusivity, independence and home-grown, local talent.
Complete with bespoke neon lighting, leafy foliage and industrial metal detailing, Print House is an homage to the industrial past and creative power driving the regeneration of London’s hottest borough. So, eat, drink and support the work of local artists: Mathieu Cadelo, Face the Strange, Nerone and Alexandra Ramirez.
