Unlock the mysterious world of mixology and seasonal British fare at The Lost & Found, Leeds. An avant-garde all-day bar and restaurant located in the heart of the city on Greek Street, this Victorian botanical hideaway recalls the glamour of bygone eras offering a decadent drinking den that always has a story to tell. From one mythical Professor Virginia K. Stevenson’s study of birds which inspires the space, to experimental drinks and delicious food with old and new friends, there’s always something to discover at The Lost & Found.
Stepping through the glass doors and into the inviting space, guests are immediately greeted by soft lighting, dark wooden floors and an array of leather seating; evocative of an old-world hide-out. Striking bar stools set on slim bird-like legs and embroidered table chairs play reference to Professor Stevenson’s love for feathered friends, while the scattering of globes across the dining space are inspired by her worldly travels. Privacy-providing verdant trees, taxidermy decorations and hints of gold add notes of hedonistic indulgence to the bar. Descend the winding spiral staircase topped with topiary to find marble topped tables, velvet-backed chairs and hanging lights. Flick through one of the many ornithological books that line the walls or enter a true world of mystery through the secret telephone. When it rings, be sure to answer; you never know what might happen.
Carefully crafted cocktails and sumptuous spirits are mixed, muddled and beautifully served by the city’s most creative mixologists. Work your way through the extensive list of tipples all created by an expertly trained bar team, including a collection of signature ‘Lost’ cocktails, celebrating twists on forgotten drinks of the past. Delight in Ms. Stevenson’s Cup laced with The Kraken black spiced rum, which resembles a Caipirinha and a Dark ‘N Stormy, or sip on an Evergreen Tea of Ketel One vodka and Fentiman’s dandelion & burdock. An Old Fashioned Cherry Cola with Gentleman Jack, cola syrup and cherry bitters is a sweet, warming nightcap not to miss. ‘Found’ cocktails bring added decadence to our most-loved concoctions including a Sloe Gin Cobbler with Courvoisier VS and Sipsmith sloe gin and The Mockingbird, singing with. Aperol and Sauza hornitos tequila. Can’t decide which poison to drink? Navigate the ‘Taste map’ to find your signature sip or join Virginia’s cocktail club every Monday to Friday from 5pm-8pm and enjoy your ‘Found’ cocktail for £5. A bursting list of craft beers from Meantime to Anchor, and exciting new ciders from Old Mout and Rekorderlig are also available, alongside a selection of white, red and rosé European and New World wines to suit every taste.
