NEW Pasta Sauce & Oil Range From Carluccio’s
10 Oct 2021
Adding Italian authenticity with every drop, Carluccio’s has announced its latest larder must-haves with a new range of pasta sauces and olive oils, available online and in-store. Sourced from specialist producers across Italy, the new products use only the finest ingredients and carefully honed traditional recipes to elevate any dish with a touch of la dolce vita.
Perfect Pasta Sauces – £5.95/350g jars
Ideal for all the family, Carluccio’s first 100% organic certified sauces include Sugo All’Arrabiatta – made to an authentic recipe with fresh sun ripened tomato pulp and purée. With an added gentle kick of heat from local chillies, it’s the perfect accompaniment to long pastas such as Bucatini.
When it comes to versatility, Sugo Pomodoro e Basilico ticks all the boxes. Made from handpicked tomatoes from Puglia and basil from Genova, this sauce is brilliant on crostini, with pasta, and as a rich luxurious pizza base.
Ortalana translates to ‘greengrocer’, and with its medley of slowly cooked chopped onions, carrots, celery and garlic in extra virgin olive oil, tomato pulp and purée, Sugo Ortalana is aptly named. This sunkissed sauce works well with pasta of all shapes and sizes.
Single Variety Organic Olive Oils – £10.95/500ml
In the Southern region of Puglia, it’s estimated that there are around 60 million olive trees, with some over 2000 years old – so what better place to produce three single variety olive oils! Rich, robust, and complex, Nocellara has hints of aubergines and unripe tomatoes, making it an excellent addition to any Italian dish. Twinning perfectly with white meat dishes and salads, the intense fruit flavour of Coratina is slightly bitter with notes of spice. Buttery smooth with delicate hints of wild herbs and white fruits, Ogliarola is excellent with fish, salads, soups and steamed vegetables.
Intriguing Infusions – £8.95/250ml
Made with extra virgin olive oil, Carluccio’s’ new trio of infused oils bring a fantastic depth of flavour without overpowering the fresh olive taste.
Made with chillies grown in the Calabrian sunshine, Olio al Peperoncino adds a good kick to just about anything, from pasta and pizza to stews and soups. Bringing a crisp basil flavour to tomatoes or a simple salad, Olio al Basilico also makes a great dressing. And finally, Olio al Limone partners beautifully with fish, seafood and salads – or, if you’re feeling adventurous, use it when making mayonnaise or baking.
Carluccio’s – a drizzle and dash that’s just the ticket this autumn.
