For the first time, cornerstone of the West End, The Hippodrome, is offering unprecedented access to its wine cellar and little black book of exciting winemakers with the arrival of its Wine Club, curated and hosed by sommelier and Head of Wine, Salvo Russo.
Launching on 24th August, Wine Club will bring a plethora of the world’s finest winemakers to the heart of London, offering guests the chance to meet the producers and makers shaping the future of wine and viticulture. Hosted by Salvo and the guest producer, each evening will take guests on a journey of discovery, transporting them to the expansive vineyards of Argentina, California and the resplendent Napa Valley. Guests will also receive exclusive discounts allowing them to buy bottles directly from the guest winemakers.
The series kicks off on 24th August at 7.30pm with an Argentinian wine masterclass, hosted by Salvo and Pedro San Martin of Bodega Catena Zapata. Founded in 1902, this iconic family-run producer is globally renowned for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and discovering new and extreme, high-altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills on Mendoza. At almost 5,000 feet of elevation, the family’s Adrianna Vineyard is widely recognised as the continent’s finest terroir.
The ticketed event takes place in the beautiful Boozy Tea Room cocktail lounge, where guests will sample a range of vintages from the guest producer alongside a regionally inspired menu specifically designed by Executive Chef, Ioannis Grammenos to match the wines.
Tickets are £80 and extremely limited – early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Purchase here: https://www.opentable.co.uk/r/heliot-steak-house-london.
