Mariage Frères’ Iced Tea Terrace to Reopen in Covent Garden on 12th April
01 Mar 2021
Cocktails, champagne and Covent Garden’s shopping – sounds divine after months of lockdown, right? Following this week’s news from government, luxury French tea emporium, Mariage Frères’ will open its chic Tea Terrace for al fresco dining and drinking on 12th April, serving refreshing iced teas, chilled champagne and cocktails alongside picture perfect afternoon teas.
With Covent Garden welcoming shoppers and visitors once more, the Terrace is the perfect place to watch the world go by and celebrate the city’s rebirth this spring. On offer is the luxury French brand’s iced tea collection featuring 20 teas, each exclusively blended to be chilled by Mariage Frères. Choices include the Pink Cactus Red RooibosÒ, a perfectly pretty pink caffeine-free chilled pour; and vibrant ViolettaÒ with floral violet notes.
Tea-infused tipples are also available from the newly curated iced-tea cocktail menu; while away the hours with the Gin Cactus BleuÒ, a refreshing blend of cactus morsels, cucumber, thyme, and gin; or say santé with the Opéra SunriseÒ, a fruity green tea cocktail flavoured with red fruits and blue berries, basil, ginger and a little tequila kick.
Guests can also dine al fresco with a selection of delicate savoury sandwiches or raise a toast to normality with a glass of crisp champagne, the perfect partner to a beautiful afternoon tea, complete with freshly baked cakes and exquisite French patisserie.
Mariage Frères will be opening with social distancing in place and revised operation measures to ensure the health and safety of all guests. And in case any April showers threaten to put a dampener on the day, then no fear – the terrace will be fully covered and fitted with heaters to ensure you stay warm and dry.
