So, Londoners, Tier 2 it is, and while restaurants can reopen next week, we understand many might still be reluctant to venture out – this is where Drake & Morgan’s Merry Weekender Brunch Box (£35 for two) comes in – recreating that much-missed brunch experience at home! Featuring classic brunch dishes, plenty of cocktails, music and games, the kits are available to order from 1st December for delivery within the M25.
There’s a choice of three menus; from smashed avocado on sourdough through to the Full Works. All three come with four cocktails – Bloody Mary, Aperol Spritz, French or Pornstar martinis. Also included, is a playlist to get you in the mood, video link to a cook-a-long, Santa hats, tree-decorating tips and a games sheet with festive charades, jokes and a quiz.
Christmas Day in a Box – Festive Feast Kit (£65 for two)
Forget joining queues at the supermarket and hours spent prepping in the kitchen – the clever elves at Drake & Morgan have done all the hard work for you, leaving you more precious time to spend with family and friends. And if that doesn’t make you feel jolly, the price should at just £65 for two for a full Christmas Day feast.
The three-course menu kicks off with smoked almonds, Chapel & Swan smoked salmon with soda bread and piccalilli, and duck liver parfait with pear chutney and brioche. As one would expect, turkey is the star of the show with a free-range breast served with all the trimmings including pigs in blankets; pork and apricot stuffing; goose fat roast potatoes; brussels sprouts with pancetta and chestnuts, roasted carrots, parsnips and celeriac; cabbage with shallots and garlic, red wine gravy; and bread and cranberry sauce. Finish up with Christmas pud, clotted cream and brandy custard, chocolate brownies, mini mince pies and brandy butter.
