Les Pique-niques from PAUL Available from Tuesday 9th May 2017
09 May 2017
Whether it’s a day out with friends and family at the weekend or a post-work treat with colleagues, venture out en plein air and embrace the great British summer with a picnic bursting with homemade goodness, courtesy of French artisan bakery and pâtisserie, PAUL.
Featuring a superb selection of traditional artisan sandwiches using freshly baked breads made to time-honoured recipes, new seasonal salads and indulgent pâtisserie; creating the perfect bespoke picnic has never been so easy!
Priced at £20 to serve two or £38 for four, each individual picnic is made to order and contains an array of authentic French favourites. Simply choose your PAUL sandwich, quiche or salad, a bag of PAUL hand-cooked crisps, a slice of tart or a large macaron, plus a soft drink such as cherry lemonade and peach iced tea, and receive a FREE ‘Sac á Pique-nique’ – a smart and re-usable cool bag that also includes a disposable chequered paper tablecloth to adopt the ultimate ‘laissez-faire’ approach on a summer’s day.
Choose from a wide range of lovingly-prepared sandwiches including: the NEW Sandwich Boeuf – sliced roast beef nestled in between grilled carrot and spinach, mustard mayonnaise in potato and rosemary bread; NEW Saumon Fume – filled with smoked salmon, sliced fennel, cream cheese, lemon juice and Batavia salad in campagne bread; or the NEW Vegan Sandwich (v), layered with grilled peppers, carrots and onions, carrot hummus and spinach in a beetroot studded baguette. Alternatively, ditch the carbs with a freshly-made Lyonnaise Salad of poached egg, lardons, lambs lettuce, mixed leaves, croutons and wholegrain mustard dressing, a classic Niçoise or any other seasonal salad available on the day. Too-good-to-miss are the NEW PAUL Chardonnay crisps, as well as the large macarons, featuring raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and pistachio flavours – worth saving room for.
Originating in France, picnics date back to just after the French Revolution in 1789 where the royal parks became open to the public for the first time and eating outside “en plein air” became a popular way to spend an afternoon, so honour tradition and make it French with PAUL.
Available for purchase in all shops from Tuesday 9th May, picnic with PAUL this summer, while stocks last.
