It’s all change at The Bridge in Chertsey, courtesy of new owners Young’s. Currently undergoing an extensive makeover, the waterfront pub and hotel will reopen its doors on 22nd March with a talented chef and ex-Masterchef contestant in the kitchen, stylish new riverside terrace, Burger Shack and, at its very heart, a welcoming pub.
With cosy corners, private party spaces and alfresco dining, The Bridge has been designed for all the family, for locals and for those travelling from further afield for nearby attractions like Thorpe Park. Whether you’re looking for a pint of Young’s ale, a fantastic breakfast/brunch, lunch, dinner or a hearty Sunday roast, there’s a warm welcome waiting at The Bridge.
Head Chef Karl Byron’s menu uses only the best of seasonal British ingredients including sustainable fish from British waters, Surrey beef and locally sourced veg. The menu covers brunch right through to supper with brunch choices in the form of avocado and poached eggs and buttermilk pancakes through to pub classics like Young’s beer battered fish and chips and lighter options such as superfood quinoa salad. In addition, there’s also a great selection of kid-friendly dishes and a quintessentially British afternoon tea available Monday-Saturday.
As one would expect from a Young’s venue, the bar is amply stocked with a whole host of ales and lagers on tap, artisan craft brews, premium spirits and non-alcoholic options. The new waterfront terrace with its Burger Shack, dispensing the best quality beef, chicken and veg patties, is destined to be a summer hotspot whilst a private events space, complete with its own secluded riverside terrace, is ideal for celebrations and meetings.
Turn a visit to Thorpe Park, just five minutes away, into a family holiday at The Bridge with its 47 spacious and comfortable hotel bedrooms, many designed with families in mind and featuring sofa beds and interconnecting doors. With free wi-fi, cosy seating and comfortable beds, it is the perfect place to rest your head whether travelling for business or leisure.
The Bridge is set to become a Chertsey hotspot for the whole community. Whether 8 or 80, pop in and discover your new look local or book now to avoid disappointment via www.bridgehotelchertsey.com and be amongst the first to experience this beautifully fashioned pub.
