In honour of Burns Night on 25th January, award-winning Indian Accent in Mayfair is hosting a feast of whisky, wine and of course haggis.
Starting from 7:30pm, the special four-course menu – designed by Chef Manish Mehrotra – will feature traditional Scottish dishes with Indian flavours whilst showcasing a number of signature favourites.
In true Burn’s tradition, the night will start with the iconic sound of the bagpipes as you enjoy welcome whisky cocktails: Mr. Burns made with Ardberg 10-Year-Old or The Sláinte Sour made with Glenmorangie ‘Original’. For those in the mood for a straight wee dram, these beautiful whiskies will be offered neat as well, whilst enjoying canapés of butter chicken bouchées, and panko crusted Amritsari fish with coriander tartare.
Charlie Ward will perform the traditional ‘Address to a Haggis’ by Robert Burns, as well as two more Scottish poems throughout the night. Chef Mehrotra has put his own unique touch to the Scottish classic with a haggis kofta and turnip korma. Matched with the luscious 2015 Cheval des Andes and served with a selection of delicious kulcha flat breads, including wild mushroom with truffle oil, and applewood smoked bacon with barbeque butter. Finish on a sweet note with a mithai cheesecake with besan ladu tart, accompanied by the fine sherry notes of Glenmorangie ‘Lasanta’. Ardberg and Glenmorangie distilleries will also be releasing exclusive cellar selected whiskies to be on offer for this night only.
The four-course tasting menu is priced at £75 per person, or embrace your Celtic side with an exquisite whisky and wine pairing to accompany each course. Priced at an additional £25 per person, the selection has been carefully curated by newly appointed General Manager and Sommelier Patrick Frawley.
