Flee the burrow to Flemings Mayfair and nibble your way through the brand-new Peter Rabbit-themed afternoon tea in celebration of the eagerly anticipated film with an all-star cast, which hits UK cinema screens on 16th March.
Served in the glamourous Drawing Room at the luxury boutique hotel in Mayfair, grab your best bunny and enjoy sweet treats inspired by Peter’s favourite vegetable patch along with a Champagne Devaux botanical cocktail. Created by Michelin-awarded chef Shaun Rankin, begin with a refreshing chilled tomato gazpacho, followed by an array of delicate sandwiches with fillings including mozzarella, pesto and basil; and free-range egg mayonnaise and chickweed. Petit fours come in the form of a carrot cake; strawberry and lavender pavlova; dark chocolate and beetroot brownie and rhubarb and custard.
Based on the cheeky and irreverent Peter Rabbit, both the tea and film are nostalgic, homely and perfect for the whole warren, from baby bunnies to old hares, and where better to celebrate the classic tale than at the quintessentially British luxury hotel.
Part of an impressive £16 million refurbishment at Flemings Mayfair, The Drawing Room is an elegant haven that captures the essence of a traditional Regency drawing room. High ceilings and large sash windows flood the space with natural light, while the original fireplace from 1851, when the hotel was established, sits beautifully amongst lavish interior features.
The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12.30pm to 5pm, for the month of March, and priced at £34.50 per person or £48 per person with a Champagne Devaux cocktail.
