Sharing the namesake of Eton College’s most prestigious alumni society and England’s youngest ever King, the Henry VI pub in Eton has returned following a complete refurbishment. The sophisticated and elegant pub now boasts an inspired stone-baked pizza menu, an extensive range of speciality gins and a hideaway garden.

Set just moments away from Eton College and a 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle, the Henry VI sits proudly amongst the many historic buildings on the quaint High Street. The cosy and comforting new look offers plenty of nooks and crannies to kick back in, whether you’re popping in for a pint or taking it easy on a Sunday afternoon. Original wooden beams, leather banquettes and a warming colour scheme sit alongside bright red bar stools and eclectic trinkets. Take your pick from a variety of wood-topped tables to dine in style or gather around the original brick hearth, filled with a roaring fire.
When the sun appears, head to the secret pub garden. String lights along the walls illuminate quirky hanging windows and a gnarled and twisted tree sits centre stage. Order a shaken and stirred classic cocktail at the corrugated iron outdoor bar, tuck into a brilliant burger from the shack and relax in the heated pergola. Come summertime, the garden will come to life with weekly BBQs filled with your favourite meats and sensational sides.
With an array of authentic Italian hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas available until 10pm every day, Henry VI brings a taste of Italy right to the centre of Eton.
Begin with mix-and-match garlic breads, topped with the likes of fior di latte mozzarella, San Marzano tomato and Calabrese chilli. Served hot straight from the huge pizza oven at the core of the pub, these fragrant flat breads can be enjoyed alone with a crisp glass of wine or as the perfect opener for the main event.
Bespoke bases can be completely customised to suit your palate with an array of authentic Italian ingredients or topped with tried-and-tested combinations such as earthy mushrooms with baby spinach and seasonal truffle; Veronetto salami, spicy nduja, parmesan and wild rocket; and fior di latte mozzarella, sliced chunks of crackling porchetta and a light dressing of apple sauce.
Salted caramel fudge cake with layers of decadent chocolate brownie, chocolate fudge and salted caramel sauces and double cream makes for the most indulgent dessert.

Here, premium gins including Broker’s, Bloom and Sipsmith are perfectly paired with selected Fever Tree tonics.
