Strawberries at the ready as Wimbledon is back! As the tennis tournament returns from 28th June – 11th July, Young’s pubs are serving up the action with pop-up bars, installations from Sipsmith and plenty of gin.
Instead of camping out for tickets, head to one of Young’s six Wimbledon pubs to watch every swing, set and match point. Supported by Sipsmith, each pub will see the alfresco terraces transformed, complete with floral installations, outdoor bars and plush furnishings, along with gin tipples including the Wimbledon exclusive Strawberry Smash G&T.
Whether you’re after a pre- or post-match drink or looking for somewhere to while away the day, immerse yourself in the centre court action at one of Young’s pubs.
33 Wimbledon Hill, SW19 7NE
A firm favourite for tennis fans, soak up the great British summer and go ‘Alex fresco’ at The Alexandra. With Sipsmith installations of floral archways, lanterns and banners throughout, the pub will be getting into the swing of things with an alfresco terrace and mobile bar, while for food, look no further than chin-dribbling burgers from the Burger Shack.
Rose & Crown
55 High Street, SW19 5BA
Home to the biggest pub garden in Wimbledon, the Rose & Crown is the ideal spot for an alfresco drink, complete with marquee, Burger Shack, Sipsmith mobile bar and floral décor throughout. Come for the tennis, but stay for the party with live music nights, while on Sunday 4th July, the 10-piece brass band the Old Dirty Brasstards will take to the stage.
The Hand in Hand
6-9 Crooked Billet, SW19 4RQ
Paying homage to manicured lawns, the Hand in Hand will be transforming its terrace into a garden paradise, with floral décor and plantings, plus a pop-up outdoor bar serving Sipsmith gin, Camden beer and wines. Just a stone’s throw from the common, there is no better space to soak up the tennis fever.
27-29 Church Road, SW19 5DQ
With the All-England Lawn Tennis Club just round the corner, immerse yourself in the Wimbledon buzz at the Fire Stables. Enter under the floral archway and sip away on singles or doubles from the G&T menu. Heading to the court? Early birds can pick up a breakfast to go, while takeaway drinks will be available throughout the day.
The Dog & Fox
24 High Street, SW19 5EA
With five bars showing the matches, a summer Sipsmith garden, and the biggest screen in Wimbledon, The Dog & Fox is at the heart of the action. Come rain or shine, screens will be showing every serve live, while outside will be home to the sun-soaked terrace, serving not only Sipsmith, but Minuty Rose magnums. Watch the sun set while delving into delicious burgers from the Burger Shack and keep an eye out on the pub’s socials for details of live music too!
The Crooked Billet
14-15 Crooked Billet, SW19 4RQ
Acing Wimbledon this year is the Crooked Billet, with an array of themed cocktail serves and picnic hampers. Watch every volley surrounded by seasonal floral blooms or sit back in deck chairs on the green with a ‘match-pint’ and a picnic hamper of goodies.
