Award-winning VII Hills Italian Dry Gin has named bartender Gabriele Manfredi as its brand ambassador.
Manfredi will use his extensive experience to build brand awareness, develop consumer knowledge and train junior members of the team. He will work closely with distributors to seek out business opportunities and will be responsible for looking after lighthouse accounts. He will also take an active part in trade events, hosting masterclasses for both bartenders and bars and speak at industry seminars on behalf of the brand.
Manfredi, originally from Milan, made waves in the drinks industry 10 years ago when he joined the bar team at the renowned Artesian at The Langham, London in 2009 before moving to cocktail bar, Nightjar in 2011. Four years later he became Head Bartender at sister bar Oriole, where he worked for three years before travelling to Asia for a consultancy role. He is primarily based in London, where he operates his consulting business.
VII Hills Italian Dry Gin was created by Italian mixologists, Danilo Tersigni and Filippo Previero, and is made using seven botanicals that hail from the seven hills surrounding Rome – juniper, celery, rosehip, chamomile, blood orange, artichoke and pomegranate. Distilled in Moncalieri, the high-quality gin is handcrafted by master distillers who use centuries-old methods to produce a smooth, perfectly balanced flavour.
Commenting on his new position, Manfredi says: “It’s a privilege to become the brand ambassador for VII Hills Italian Dry Gin and a delight to work with a brand that has been created by experienced mixologists in an authentic manner. I aim to raise the profile of VII Hill Italian Dry Gin amongst the trade and to consumers reinforcing its premium status in the UK and globally. As an Italian, it’s very exciting to be working with talented names in the industry to champion a gin from my country.”
