Open seven days a week, the venue will play host to live sport and music, complete with a new look beer garden. A city centre pub with age-old character, regulars can admire the quirky canal memorabilia dotted throughout, a nod to its location and in keeping with the tradition of the pub.
RAISE A GLASS
Championing local producers and breweries, the pub’s drinks list is stocked with craft ales such asNottingham Brewery’s Pale Ale and Nottingham Legend. Beer lovers can also choose from Wellbeck Abbey’s Cavendish, Langwith’s Lucy Locket, Dancing Duck’s Ay Ey Up, Shipstone’s Original Bitter along with draft from award-winning London brewery, Meantime. At least 35 speciality gins feature on the bar menu alongside cocktails with hits including a Pink Gin Spritz, Havana Cuba Libre and Jamaican Mule.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The revamped kitchen offers a modern menu to satisfy all cravings at great value. Kicking things off, brunch is served Monday to Saturday from 10am until 12pm, with a full English, brioche butties and smashed avocado. Come lunch or dinner, hungry revellers can then tuck in to ‘Half Pint Dimples’, a selection of tempting bar bites served in a half pint dimple glass and topped with sauce. If that’s not hit the spot then choose from small plates, freshly-baked sourdough garlic breads and pizzas through to cross-hatch fries sharers, pub classics, juicy burgers, crisp salads and hard sundaes to finish.
The go-to spot for Sunday lunch, Fellows, Morton & Clayton offers classics roasts with all the trimmings – British roast chicken; 21-day-aged topside of beef; or a parsnip, spinach and truffle oil tart, all accompanied by roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, buttered carrots, cabbage and lashings of the all-important gravy.
A perfect blend of traditional and modern, Fellows, Morton & Clayton has introduced quirky canal-themeddécor with style. The beautiful red-bricked building has had a face-lift both inside and out, whilst remaining true to its character. The wood-panelled bar continues as the central feature, now surrounded by heritage murals, hanging pendant lights, leather-clad stools and comfy chairs. A function room complete with private bar is available to hire for those looking to celebrate with larger groups (up to 200 people). Lazy afternoons and evenings can be spent relaxing outside, where the cosy beer garden has been spruced up with leafy foliage, wooden benches, mooring rope along the fence and heaters for all-year-round use.
