This new year, keep just one of those resolutions – step away from the desk and reclaim your lunch break! Escape the office with Samarkand’s new Express Lunch Menu; indulge in a unique gastronomic adventure, filled with unexpected flavours and intriguing ingredients, all in your lunch break. Transport yourself to a world of flavour at Uzbek destination restaurant on foodie hot spot, Charlotte Street, to explore the tastes and aromas at the heart of the Silk Road.
Long lunch hours and deep pockets are in rare supply these days, so the speedy set menu is priced at an amazing £15 for two courses or £18 for three courses. Estimated to take forty-five minutes, it’s perfect for those wanting to upgrade their mid-day meal without breaking the bank or losing too much time out of the office.
Known by many as the crossroads of culture, Samarkand’s Express Menu offers something unique to London. Like the city for which it is named, the new menu sits on a crossroads of the Silk Road and expertly combines flavours from cultures across its entire length. Choose from a selection of beautiful starters including Baklajon, a smoked aubergine caviar decorated with edible flowers; Manti, traditional Uzbek dumplings lovingly filled with spiced beef and lamb or seasonal pumpkin; as well as delicious Russian Salad made with ox tounge, pickled cucumber, truffle mayo and quail’s egg. Highlight main courses celebrate the signature flavours of Uzbekistan including Jiz Biz, pan fried rack of lamb served with potato cake and a fresh salad of herbs and finely sliced onion; Supreme Chicken Tabaka with Samarkand Rice; and Dry Aged Fillet of Beef Shashlik. Those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can delight in delectable desserts such as Chilli and Thyme Poached Pear with Pistachio Crumble; and Baklava Cake.
Do something different this lunchtime, and take your taste buds on a (quick!) culinary adventure into the unknown with the express lunch menu at Samarkand.
