This year, celebrate Valentine’s Day with a difference with The Texture Restaurant Group, with a series of special menus available from 14-17th February. Michelin-starred Texture will be offering a vegan Valentine’s tasting menu, developed by Chef Patron and Owner Aggi Sverrisson, while seafood lovers can head to 28°-50° Maddox Street for oysters and champagne which is sure to bring a dose of romance to the evening.
Texture‘s cuisine plays with all of the senses… making it the perfect place to get sensual this Valentine’s. The vegan menu will elevate plant-based dining to new heights, with dishes such as beetroot soup with avocado, ginger and dill; black perigord truffles with barley, fregola and hazelnuts, and baby Italian artichokes with broth, olives and herbs. The meal is flawlessly finished with blood orange with mint, lime leaves and lemongrass. At £105 per person, the menu is the perfect Valentine’s for both vegans and non-vegans alike.
The main tasting menus will include Norwegian king crab with pomelo, lime leaves and ginger, Isle of Skye scallops with coconut, kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass, and Scottish border roe deer with celeriac and pied de moutons. The menu is £115 per person, with cheese available for an additional £17.70 per person. Paired wines can be added for £89 per person to all tasting menus.
28-50 Wine Workshop and Kitchen
Head to 28°-50° Maddox Street for the perfectly paired aphrodisiacs: oysters and champagne. Pull up seats at the counter, bedecked with magnums and iced oyster crates, and enjoy six oysters and two glasses of Henriot champagne, poured from a double magnum, for just £30.
28°-50° Maddox Street and Marylebone Lane will also have a limited-edition Valentine’s menu accompanied by a glass of English sparkling wine, Digby Rose. At £55 for three courses, the menu will include foie gras terrine with apple and cherry chutney, whole native lobster, and Icelandic baked Skyr with rhubarb and rose.
