Whether you’re looking for an extra special working lunch spot, or for an intimate and elevated evening out with friends, SUMI is the must visit spot.
Standout new dishes include the Tuna Takaki, a small bite of seared bluefin tuna Akami from the Balearic Sea, dressed with a sweet onion ponzu sauce, and finished with a Japanese spice blend. The SUMI Salmon Teriyaki is another highlight – the highest quality salmon marinated in teriyaki sauce and shiitake mushroom stock, served with crème fraiche, pickled Kohlrabi and chopped shiitake mushrooms. Mushroom Agedashi Tofuis a must-try for plant-based and meat eaters alike. Tofu is pan-fried with an array of mushrooms include enoki, shimeji, maitake and oyster, and then added to an umami sauce of kombu stock, ginger and a perfectly balanced mix of Japanese herbs and vegetables. Signature SUMI favourites remain on the menu including a selection of temaki, nigiri and sashimi all using the highest-grade ingredients.
SUMI’s carefully crafted cocktails are not to be missed – new to the menu is the Little Wasabi, a short drink of Haku Vodka, lime, sugar syrup and wasabi that packs a mighty punch. Other unique serves include the smooth Milky Way, made with jasmine-infused Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky, rhubarb, lemon, milk and soda water; and the Everlong, a blend of coffee-infused cognac, Cocchi Americano Bianco, maraschino liqueur, sobacha honey water, ginger and angostura bitters, topped with champagne.
