12 Dec 2018
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at The LaLiT London! Bedecked in lush red flowers and foliage – in celebration of #purelove – the luxury boutique hotel has everything covered for a Christmas and New Year to remember, from immaculate suites to Christmas Day dining and an extravagant New Year’s Eve party.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Hang your stockings by the fire before heading to the hotel’s pan-Indian dining destination, Baluchi, for a Christmas Eve with a difference. Don your very best black tie for an evening of dinner and dancing at the hotel, where a traditional Indian live band will provide the perfect ambiance to see in the big day in style. Tickets are priced at £80 pp / £50 per child, and include a five-course meal and glass of Pommery Brut Silver Champagne on arrival.
On Christmas Day Baluchi is offering a five course menu, for lunch and dinner, of creative festive dishes with a signature Indian twist – think tandoori turkey with roasted winter vegetables, chestnuts and cranberry makhani sauce; or lobster soup flamed with brandy, with snail and bacon toast. Vegan and vegetarian menus are also available, with warming plant-based dishes such as wild mushrooms and truffle khichdi with vegetable pakoda and coconut sauce; and marrow stuffed with goat’s cheese with masala dal and spinach poriyal. Finish on a sweet note with alternative festive desserts such as Santosh’s signature Indian spiced Christmas pudding with cinnamon custard.
And for those looking to go all out this Christmas – relax, full and happy, in one of the hotel’s luxurious suites from £249 per night, and wake up to a special à la carte Boxing Day brunch, served from 10am-12.30pm and including delicious Indian brunch dishes such as masala baked beans with toast; and Idli Sambar, a savoury breakfast cake served with tamarind lentil stew.
New Year’s Eve
Bring to 2019 in style at The LaLiT London’s exclusive New Year’s party, which will pair mind-bending burlesque from Claudia Contortionist with a formal five-course dinner. Start the night right with festive fizz on arrival, before dining on oysters with cucumber and gin foam; tandoori monkfish with coriander and coconut chutney; and Sula spiced roast saddle of red deer with yoghurt sauce. As the clock strikes midnight, DJ Carly Foxx will take to the decks as you dance into the small hours. Tickets are priced at £125 per person, and £70 for children. Come New Year’s Day, fix sore heads with the à la carte brunch in Baluchi.
Also in December…
