The charismatic Carlo Scotto is back at the stoves! His hyper-original tasting menus earned him rave reviews at Xier and, in advance of the opening of his latest venture Amethyst, a taste of Carlo’s creative cuisine can be found at Carousel in Marylebone from 31st August until 4th September.
Expect killer flavours, razor-sharp techniques and theatrical dishes from one of London’s hottest chefs. The seven-course tasting menu features the same unusual flavours and experimental techniques that have become Carlo’s hallmark. Marrying Japanese and Scandinavian influences with carefully sourced, ethically-grown British produce, breath-taking dishes on the Carousel menu, designed to satisfy all the senses, include: Wild Damson, Goat’s Yoghurt & Sea Purslane; Nasu Nibitashi Aubergine Gyoza & Liquorice Tea; ‘Caramel Black Cod & Roscoff Dashi’ and Fig Tart with Fizzy Grapes.
