Ioannis Grammenos, Executive Chef at Heliot Steak House, has team up with five of London’s most talented chefs to launch a special limited-edition menu. Against a backdrop of ongoing social restrictions and overwhelming hardship for the sector, the autumn series, ‘Ioannis & Friends’, running from 26th October – 17th January, is a celebration of culinary comradery, resilience and shared experience.
Chefs including Vivek Singh of The Cinnamon Collection, Sameer Taneja of Benares, Kerth Gumbs of Ormer Mayfair, Chef Adam Simmonds, and Guillaume Gillan of Bōkan will be rustling up special dishes for Heliot Steak House; with each featuring for a two-week period alongside Ioannis’ award-winning USDA prime steaks and seafood.
First up: Sameer Taneja of Benares from 26th October, showcasing his signature spicing with Murg Makhani – tandoori spiced baby poussin, butter chicken sauce & lassi dressing.
From 9th – 22nd November, it’s GBM finalist, Kerth Gumbs’ côte de boeuf with aged beef ragu, foie gras, truffle wild mushrooms, caramelised shallot and triple-cooked chips.
Guillaume Gillan joins the pass from 23rd November until 6th December with veal sweetbreads with wild mushrooms, grapes and Szechuan pepper.
From 7th – 20th December, Adam Simmonds’ roasted aged sirloin, date purée, confit onions in smoked butter with bone marrow and red wine is on the menu.
And finishing off the series in style is Vivek Singh of The Cinnamon Collection with a South Indian-style stir-fried sirloin steak from 4-17thJanuary.
