21 May 2021
This bank holiday is all about chin-dribbling burgers, plant-based patties and bun times, as Young’s celebrate the Big Sizzle Weekend at their burger shacks. From 28th-31st May, the shacks will be grilling and flipping burger creations from the new menu and dispensing brews of Metroland Session IPA and Power Plant, in collaboration with Two Tribes Brewery.
Menu highlights include the Classic with a double beef patty and oozing cheese, or the Loaded Burger topped slow cooked ox cheek, cheese and lashings of burger sauce, as well as plant-based delights of Loaded Plant with BBQ jackfruit, vegan cheese and pink onion, or Chkn Katsu with crispy chkn fillets, carrot apple & coriander slaw and katsu curry sauce. Not to mention sides of Ox-cheek Nuggets, Mac N’ Cheese and Loaded Curly Fries and don’t miss this month’s burger special, the Mac Daddy, a double patty with double cheese, treacle bacon and truffle mac & cheese – tuck in quick before it’s gone!
Bring a group of six and enjoy the Burger Shack Slider Sharer – 12 mini-burgers with plenty of sides and a bucket of 12 Camden Hells or Heineken, priced from £105 (£36 per head) with plant-based packages also available.
With over 50 alfresco burger shacks located in some of Young’s finest pub gardens across London and beyond, it’s time to grab the bank holiday weekend by the buns. Alongside drool-worthy burgers, there will plenty of extra celebrations, from shack sessions to giveaways. Check out your local’s socials for what they have planned, including live music at the Sound of the Shacks at The Windmill Clapham, and festival tunes with a side of face painting at the Alexander Pope.
It’s going to be a weekend of sticky fingers, meat ups and flippin’ good vibes! For the full list of shacks for the Big Sizzle Weekend, visit www.youngs.co.uk/burger-shack.
