Benares Mayfair Extends Eat Out to Help Out for September
20 Aug 2020
Fine-dining Indian restaurant, Benares Mayfair, is extending its Eat Out to Help Out offer throughout September, due to a significant increase in reservations in August. Benares is one of the first restaurants in the UK to commit to the month-long extension without any reimbursement or support from the Government.
The offer provides diners with £10pp off food and non-alcoholic drinks for lunch or dinner when ordering from the à la carte or tasting menu every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 30th September.
This decision comes as Benares has seen a welcoming spike in consumer demand over the past two weeks – bookings have increased and there has been a positive uplift in sales compared to weeks before the initiative started.
Sameer Taneja, Executive Chef of Benares comments:
“We’re delighted to see the positive impact EOHO has had so far – both lunch and dinner reservations have surged on the days the offer is available. This has allowed us to increase staff working hours and bring back more of the team from furlough. We can’t thank our loyal customers enough for their continued support.
“The Chancellor’s scheme has improved consumer confidence by incentivising people to dine out. We hope by extending the offer to Thursdays for the remaining weeks of August, and also for September, we’ll be able to welcome many more diners to Benares.”
