London’s street lights have had a merry makeover, the night tube is jammed full of partygoers and everyone’s asking the same questions: how many mince pies is too many, what does Mariah really want for Christmas, and where is the best festive party in London?
We don’t have all the answers, but we do know that, with Christmas cocktails, late-night parties and an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration, Farringdon’s The Piano Works – London’s only non-stop live music venue famed for its talented live band that plays nothing but your requests – is the place to be this season.
Silent nights are no more…
If you haven’t planned that late-night Christmas shindig yet, don’t just blag it; unleash your group at The Piano Works because the party just got longer! With extended hours throughout December, including every Friday and Saturday until the 20th, the six-piece house band will be playing your song requests until 1am before a DJ takes over to get you rocking around the Christmas tree until 4am, long after other London joints have closed their doors. Kick off your late-night with a free drink by signing your group up to the 11pm Friends List (free entry Tuesday to Thursday and £10 pp on weekends) and join the House of Song! Around this time of year, you’ve got to ramp up those tunes!
Drink it in
Christmas is nothing without a festive tipple, and the mixology elves at The Piano Works havebeen shaking and stirring all year to create a cocktail list so good that you’ll only have to check it once. The Christmas Works (Jack Daniel’s Cinnamon, Finlandia vodka, coconut cream, double cream, lime, and pineapple juice) is worth getting on the naughty list for, available between 27thNovember and 3rd December. As green as the man himself, The Grinch (gold rum, blue curacao, lime, pineapple, mint and a candy cane garnish) has come to steal the spotlight from 4th – 10thDecember, and sweet and creamy, Santa’s Hat (Amaretto Disaronno, butterscotch schnapps, double cream, cranberry and lime juice) is a bright red flute-full available from 11th – 17thDecember. Each seasonal serve is perfect for sipping between throwing shapes on the dancefloor and stealing kisses under the mistletoe.
NYE: A black-tie affair
It’s been quite the year and we’re ready to call time on it! It’s out with the old and in with the new, so what better way to wave goodbye to 2017 than with a proper party. The fun doesn’t stop at midnight this New Year’s Eve; blowing the roof off until 6am, revellers can get tickets for entry after 1am (£15 pp) for the ultimate post-fireworks festivity at Piano Works! With live music from the six-piece house band and a DJ from 2am (£10 pp entry), both will be playing your requests as you ring in the new year to the beat of The Piano Works drum. Stepping it up with a black-tie dress code, get those gowns flowing, straighten that bow tie and get your tickets now because they’re selling fast.
Celebrate the season the right way at The Piano Works! Book your party, get your tickets and check out the Christmas cocktails here.
