Pan-Indian dining destination Baluchi is set to launch London’s first and only Naan’ery, a dedicated space offering contemporary twists on traditional bread recipes, cooked in a cast iron tandoor oven, and accompanied by perfectly paired wines. In celebration of the Naan’ery, Executive Chef Santosh Shah has also curated a series of culinary masterclasses, giving you the chance to get hands on in an authentic Indian kitchen.
The Naan’ery Experience
Setting the bar when it comes to Indian bread, experience a true taste of India at the Naan’ery. Take a seat and marvel as Chef Shah works his culinary magic and creates delicious dishes right in front of you. Enjoy the brand-new menu, offering a selection of four Indian breads made using seasonal ingredients – with tasty choices including porcini & truffle naan; and fig & cheese kulcha – each paired with a complementing wine.
Priced at £55 per person or £99 for two, the selection of Indian breads will be accompanied by a traditional tiffin, featuring a choice of Baluchi’s renowned butter chicken curry, or an aubergine and tamarind curry, alongside the signature dal Baluchi, soft pilau rice and authentic carrot halwa.

Masterclasses at the Naan’ery
Offering the ultimate gastronomic experience for any Indian food fan, guests will join Chef Shah at the Naan’ery for the chance to take their culinary skills to the next level. Priced at £150 per person and taking place from 10am – 4pm, guests will try their hand at traditional tandoori naan cooking, creating and tasting their own three-course masterpiece, complete with paired wines. Alongside a raft of new recipes and skills, guests will receive an apron to take home as well as a selection of Indian spices, and a few more surprise treats.
The series of masterclasses will tackle different aspects of Indian cooking, and are suitable for amateur cooks, through to confident chefs and foodie fanatics. The masterclasses at the Naan’ery will take place on:
- Saturday 11thMay 2019 – creating the perfect curry and biryani
- Saturday 20thJuly 2019 – the art of Indian BBQ and street food
- Saturday 10thAugust 2019 – authentically Indian vegan dishes
