Inspired by the old school glitz and glamour of the Roaring 20s, London institution The Cinnamon Club is transporting guests back in time with the launch of its new Saturday Jazz Brunch – kicking off on Saturday 7th May. Set amongst the book-lined shelves of the Old Westminster Library, expect fine-dining Indian dishes to the scintillating sound of jazz care of a live two-piece band.
In true Vivek Singh style, the carefully curated three-course brunch menu (£45pp) will fuse traditional Indian flavours with western techniques. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate, the menu kicks off with a selection of starters such as jackfruit and lotus root kebab with poppy seed and tomato chutney, alongside kedgeree with smoked haddock and poached egg.
Following a break between courses to sit back and enjoy that signature soulful sound, delicious mains follow with dishes such as Rajasthani style curried venison mince with a fried egg and layered paratha; and pan seared hake fillet with yellow lentils, coconut and bitter melon chutney. Finish with a sweet selection of indulgent desserts including passionfruit and gulab jamun brûlée with a pink peppercorn crisp; or royal malai kulfi with caramelised quinoa and raspberry crisp.
Brunch wouldn’t be complete without a selection of signature serve cocktails. Using spices and ingredients from the Club’s kitchen, traditional drinks are given a unique twist with highlights on the menu such as the Club Bellini with Belvedere ginger, apricot puree, spiced rose and prosecco spumante and the Red Lady with Duppy Share white rum, watermelon cordial, curacao orange and lime.
Adding the perfect ambience to a Saturday session, the jazz brunch will be hosted from 12pm to 3:30pm* every Saturday from Saturday 7th May in the main dining room of the Old Westminster Library with tickets priced at £45 per person.
