Just in time for World Gin Day (11th June), and with summer in full swing, luxury Grade II listed Great Northern Hotel has teamed up with B Corp certified The Botanist Gin to launch London’s hottest new al fresco spot. A welcome escape from the bustle of the city, the spacious terrace in the heart of King’s Cross is set to be transformed with luscious foliage, plant-filled terrariums and a beautiful floral arch for the ultimate summer selfie.
Carefully crafted cocktails have been created with The Botanist Gin, the hand-crafted spirit distilled at Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, using 22 foraged island botanicals. The limited-edition menu offers bespoke blends and creative twists on the classics, bound to impress even the most discerning of gin-lovers. Refreshing tipples include Blue Velvet, a mix of The Botanist Gin, elderflower and lemon juice finished with fragrant lavender; Singapore Sling, a tropical blend of The Botanist Gin, Cointreau, Cherry Heering, Pineapple juice and Grenadine; Fleurissimo, a bright and fruity cocktail mixing The Botanist Gin, Aperol, peach liqueur and plum cordial before being topped with citrusy lemon juice, soda water and garnished with edible flowers.
Guests can enjoy elevated dishes and small plates to accompany the cocktails including Baba ganoush with pita breads and Cobble Lane charcuterie with pickled summer vegetables or, for the ultimate summer city staycation, book an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s luxurious rooms starting from £329, which echo the glamour of the railway era and nod to The Great Northern Hotel’s heritage.
Open now – 14th September, this city garden oasis is a must visit this summer.
